Kumamoto Winery / Izumi Town, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture
This “semi-urban winery” opened in 1999 near downtown Kumamoto. We produce wine primarily using grapes from Kumamoto Prefecture, including those from Yamaga City, Tamana City, Kumamoto City, and Uki City. Fermentation is mainly carried out in 8–10 kL stainless steel tanks. Our annual production capacity is approximately 200,000 bottles. In our cellar, wine is aged in around 300 barrels. At the on-site retail shop, our dedicated staff provide detailed explanations about our wines. We also offer items suitable as gifts, and offer shipping throughout Japan.
