Kikuka Winery / Kikuka Town, Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture

This is a winery established in 2018 in Kikuka Town, the grape-growing region for its flagship variety, “Kikuka.” At Kikuka Winery, wines are crafted using grapes from our own vineyard, contract growers belonging to the Kikuka Town Grape Growers Association, and vineyards located within Yamaga City. To enable small-lot production by grape variety, we have installed compact stainless steel fermentation tanks and presses. From viticulture to bottling, we are committed to consistent winemaking that makes the most of the region’s climate and terroir.

In addition, the winery features an on-site wine shop offering a curated selection of items centered around wine, including original products, wine accessories, and gourmet foods. The shop carries a wide range of food items carefully selected by our staff from products of Kumamoto Prefecture, other regions of Japan, and around the world. There are also dedicated staff who provide detailed explanations about the wines. At the tasting area, guests can enjoy paid tastings and compare all labels, including winery-exclusive wines. Moreover, a guided winery tour is available, led by the winery staff, where visitors can explore the vineyards and the production facilities (fee required).
